By providing a leading voice for the interests of independent agents, WIAA’s advocates have established strong relationships with legislators, regulators, insurance companies and trade groups for whom WIAA has become a trusted source for information.

WIAA's lobbying efforts are based upon extensive member involvement. We seek your feedback on important issues, and will provide you with regular updates concerning all legislative and regulatory issues of interest to independent agents. The Legislative Steering Committee works closely with state lawmakers to plan strategy on proposed legislation and/or regulation that could affect our members. The WIAA Lobbying & Advocacy program has a long track record of success built on partnerships with state leaders, carrier companies and other insurance associations. These well established coalitions enhance our association’s ability to present a stronger and more unified stance on key issues.

Whether the subject is legislative, regulatory or market-related, WIAA is prepared to provide input and help work toward a solution.
